We’re delighted to announce that the school was judged ‘Outstanding’ at a ‘Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools’ at the end of the summer term. As a Church school it is inspected by OFSTED like everyone else – and was judged ‘Good’ in 2015 – and also has a Church inspection every five years or so. Among other things, the inspector reported that, ‘St Thomas’ School is welcoming and caring, nurturing each individual within its Christian ethos. This is evident in all aspects of school life and demonstrated in the excellent relationships between all members of the school community. At the heart of these relationships are Christian values such as: perseverance, respect, tolerance, compassion and forgiveness. These values contribute significantly towards the academic achievement, self-esteem and well-being of each pupil’.
