In line with government guidelines we are delighted to announce that the church can now open for private prayer. The Rector has said the daily office out loud on each day during lockdown but this not the same as being able to offer prayer in church on one’s own behalf. We continue to hold in prayer those who have felt deprived of the opportunity to enter the house of God during these testing times.
Initially the Rector and Churchwardens have agreed that we will open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10.00am until 12.00 noon. To begin with there will be someone in attendance. We will review the situation and make changes and adjustments as appropriate as we work towards being open as usual for the whole day.
Sanitiser will be provided and surfaces cleaned as often as possible. Masks will not be obligatory but are encouraged and of course everyone is asked to exercise proper social distancing.
