Today’s service for the Benefice of Winchelsea with Icklesham comes from St.Richard’s, Winchelsea Beach. There are some minor adaptations as I have become a little better at managing Youtube. The Service is in two parts, preceded by a suitable Pentecost hymn from St. Paul’s Cathedral. The Psalm fits in after Part I between the readings as we would normally do in Church. Part II now includes a spoken address, which accounts for the fact that it is a little longer than usual. For the adventurous there is also an option to hear the Psalm in Hebrew (after the main service) with an appropriate and moving musical accompaniment.
A hymn we might have had.
For Ascension Day I have recorded Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. You will find that I have not added the responses, they are for you. There is a short separate recorded sermon.

A Reflection for Ascension Day
Today’s Reflection is spoken and included in Part II of the service.
God, who as at this time
taught the hearts of your faithful people
by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit:
grant us by the same Spirit
to have a right judgement in all things
and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort;
through the merits of Christ Jesus our Saviour,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
